Beautiful artistic printed circuit boards are a rich vein on Tindie with plenty of amazing designs. This beautiful cat badge PCB caught our eye though with a couple of things that set it apart.
It’s a through hole PCB design meaning that the components are larger and easier to handle than surface mount. The creator, KawaiiTech Stuff, has also made the copper pad sizes large to enable easier soldering for beginners. Aside from the gorgeous artwork and the ease of soldering, this board is also a classic circuit. Using a pair of PNP transistors to blink a pair of LED’s in combination with some resistors and capacitors is a nice circuit to look at to learn some basic electronics theory. Finally, we really like that the badge has an on off switch incorporated rather than the wearer having to pull the coin cell out!
